Sacred Mountain Trekking
Mount Jomolhari (7,314m) is one of Bhutan’s most sacred peaks, believed to be the abode of the protective goddess Jomo. This nine-day trek takes you to the base of this magnificent mountain, through pristine valleys, high mountain passes, and traditional yak herding settlements.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival in Paro
Welcome to Bhutan! Trek briefing and equipment check. Relax and prepare for your Himalayan adventure.
Paro to Shana (17km, 5-6 hours)
Drive to Drukgyel Dzong where the trek begins. Follow the Paro Chhu river through pine forests to Shana camp.
Shana to Soi Thangthangkha (20km, 7-8 hours)
Continue along Paro Chhu with gradual ascent. Beautiful rhododendron forests and possible blue sheep sightings.
Soi to Jangothang (19km, 7-8 hours)
Reach Jangothang with spectacular views of Mount Jomolhari and Jichu Drake. Altitude: 4,040m.
Acclimatization Day at Jangothang
Rest and acclimatization day with optional hike to Tshophu Lake for closer mountain views.
Jangothang to Lingshi (18km, 7-8 hours)
Cross Nyile La pass (4,870m) with breathtaking 360-degree views. Descend to Lingshi Dzong.
Lingshi to Shodu (17km, 8-9 hours)
Cross Yelila Pass (4,820m) and descend through rhododendron forests to Shodu.
Shodu to Barshong (16km, 6-7 hours)
Follow Thimphu Chhu river through conifer forests and rocky cliffs. Beautiful camp by the river.
Barshong to Dodena to Thimphu (14km, 5-6 hours)
Final trek day to Dodena. Drive to Thimphu for hot shower and celebration dinner.
