Detailed Pilgrimage Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Day - Journey to the Land of Thunder Dragon
Route: Guwahati → Phuentsholing → Thimphu | Night: Thimphu
Morning Journey: Depart from Guwahati Railway Station (GHY) at 7:00 AM by Rajdhani Express. Arrive at New Jalpaiguri (NJP) at 11:30 AM. Enjoy scenic train journey through Assam and North Bengal landscapes with fellow pilgrims.
Afternoon Transfer: Upon arrival at NJP, transfer by private car to Phuentsholing (Bhutan-India border). Complete immigration formalities and continue journey to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Enjoy picturesque drive through mountain roads while transitioning into the peaceful Himalayan atmosphere.
Evening & Overnight: Check into Thimphu hotel. Evening Dinner Prasadam followed by rest. Prepare for spiritual exploration beginning tomorrow. Optional evening meditation to set intentions for your pilgrimage.

Day 2: Thimphu - Capital City Spiritual Tour
Location: Thimphu City | Night: Thimphu
Morning Half - Spiritual Sites: Begin your spiritual exploration with a visit to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang), one of the largest Buddha statues in the world overlooking the Thimphu valley. The 51-meter tall Golden Buddha statue radiates peace and blessings. Spend time in meditation and circumambulation (walking around the statue in clockwise direction).
Seek blessings at the sacred Durga Mandir - one of the few Hindu temples in Bhutan, demonstrating the country’s religious harmony. Receive traditional puja and blessings from the temple priest.

Morning Half - Mountain Pass & Haa Valley: Journey through the spectacular Dochula Pass (3,150 meters), adorned with 108 memorial stupas (chortens) built in honor of Bhutanese soldiers. Each chorten contains sacred relics and prayers. Stop for tea and meditation while enjoying panoramic Himalayan views.
Continue to the pristine Haa Valley, one of Bhutan’s most remote and sacred regions, surrounded by towering peaks and ancient temples. Haa Valley was closed to tourists until 2002, preserving its authentic spiritual atmosphere. Visit local temples and witness traditional village life unchanged for centuries.
Afternoon Half - Paro Transfer & Exploration: Check out from Thimphu hotel and drive to Paro, Bhutan’s most historic town.
